Maui County Council is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America and serves the islands of Moloka'i, Lana'i and Maui, and may eventually serve Kahoolawe, as it reverts to civilian control from being the Navy test range. See also Scouting in Hawaii.

Maui County Council was founded in 1917, and is one of the very few councils that have not undergone a name change or merger in their entire history. With headquarters in Wailuku, Maui

Districts Edit

Each District coordinates scout leader training. activities and other resources for community based scouting programs. This council is divided into 2 Districts:

Council Camps Edit

Maui County Council Camps feature many resources for organizing exciting outdoor adventure group activities and are available for rental by scout groups, families and other youth groups. Some camps feature an organized week long campership program during summer months.

Scouting Adventures Edit

  1. Hawaiiana medal
    Hawaiiana Award - dedicated to the perpetuation of the skills crafts and legends of old Hawaii. Since 1973 it has been offered continuously by the Aloha Council to its members and Scouts visiting the Hawaiian islands. The requirements for Hawaiiana include the study of pre-European history and cultures of the Hawaiian people.

Order of the Arrow Edit


Order of the Arrow is the National Honor Society of Scouting and recognized those who uphold the scouting ideals of camping, service and citizenship.
