Aloha Council is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America is headquartered in Honolulu, and supports Scouting units around the Pacific Basin. The Aloha Council encompasses Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, the Northern Marianas, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau. The Aloha Council covers the largest geographical area in the world, over 8,000,000 square miles (21,000,000 km2), spanning 3,000 miles (4,800 km) on both sides of the equator and international dateline. History

In 2004, Scouts attended local council camps on American Samoa, Hawaii's Big Island, Guam, Kauai and Oahu. Aloha Council Pacific Basin District outreach efforts in the Pacific continue to grow with over 835 Boy Scouts and 240 Cub Scouts attending camps on Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Saipan, Kwajalein, Rongelap, Majuro, Yap and Palau.

Districts

Each District coordinates scout leader training. activities and other resources for community based scouting programs. This council is divided into 2 Districts:


Council Camps

Aloha Council Camps feature many resources for organizing exciting outdoor adventure group activities and are available for rental by scout groups, families and other youth groups. Some camps feature an organized week long campership program during summer months.

Scouting Adventures

  1. Hawaiiana medal
    Hawaiiana Award - dedicated to the perpetuation of the skills crafts and legends of old Hawaii. Since 1973 it has been offered continuously by the Aloha Council to its members and Scouts visiting the Hawaiian islands. The requirements for Hawaiiana include the study of pre-European history and cultures of the Hawaiian people.

Order of the Arrow is the National Honor Society of Scouting and recognized those who uphold the scouting ideals of camping, service and citizenship.

  • Nā Mokupuni O Lawelawe Lodge is the OA Lodge for this council.
